Gold ingots worth 2.1 billion soums being secretly transported to Kyrgyzstan have been intercepted.
They attempted to smuggle gold ingots by hiding them in the vehicle's body.

The illegal export of gold ingots to Kyrgyzstan was prevented in Fergana region. The State Security Service reported this to Zamon.uz.
It was reported that during an operational event, a Damas brand vehicle under the control of a citizen living in Fergana district was inspected as it arrived at the "Vodil-avto" border customs post with the intention of exiting to Kyrgyzstan.
The inspection revealed 4 non-standard shaped gold ingots hidden inside the vehicle's body, which were seized as material evidence.
According to the expert conclusion, the net weight of the gold ingots is 1 kilogram 232 grams, with a total value of 2 billion 182 million 466 thousand soums.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against this individual under Article 182, Part 2, clause "a" of the Criminal Code (violation of customs legislation), and investigative actions are being carried out.
