As a result of urgent anti-corruption measures, representatives of authorities in Jizzakh and Karakalpakstan were caught red-handed while illegally taking bribes in exchange for land and monetary funds. This was reported to DXX Zamon.uz.

 

It is reported that during an investigation conducted jointly by the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies, it was established that the chief specialist of the Zarbdor district administration of Jizzakh region abused his official position and received 20 million soums in exchange for formalizing a land plot belonging to a citizen born in 1983 through an auction.

 

Furthermore, during an urgent operation conducted by employees of the DXX Directorate for the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the chief specialist of the Khodjeyli district administration and the chief specialist of the district veterinary and livestock development department were caught red-handed while receiving 3 thousand dollars in exchange for formalizing a 41.6-hectare land plot in the name of a farmer.

 

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code for both cases, and investigative actions are being carried out.
