The distribution of nearly 8 kilograms of hashish in Tashkent and Fergana has been stopped.
A person who illegally swam across the Syr Darya and several other citizens were detained.

During rapid operations conducted in Tashkent and Fergana regions, the spread of narcotic substances was prevented. The State Security Service informed Zamon.uz about this.
It was reported that 5 kg 31 grams of hashish was identified and procedurally documented from a citizen living in Bekobod who had illegally crossed the state border from Tajikistan via the Syr Darya river.
In another case, a joint inspection by the State Security Service's Tashkent regional directorate and customs authorities was carried out at one of the private medical clinics in the capital. During the inspection, with the participation of witnesses, it was discovered that a patient undergoing treatment in the examined room possessed 1 kg 367 grams of hashish.
Furthermore, during the rapid operations, an individual born in 1998 and residing in Fergana district was apprehended. He was caught while attempting to retrieve 1 kg 21 grams of hashish that had been left in a hidden place by his criminal accomplice. Additionally, 2 grams of opium were seized from his residence as material evidence. As a result of the rapid measures, his accomplice—another citizen living in Fergana city—was also detained in connection with this case.
In another rapid operation, a citizen living in Kosh Tepa district of Fergana region was apprehended while trying to flee the scene after throwing 996 grams of hashish from his Nexia model car while moving in the Margilan area.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding these incidents against the suspects, and the preventive measure of "detention" has been applied to them. The investigation is currently ongoing.
