The head of Karmana forced teachers to gather and kept them standing for an hour.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has announced that it is studying the information circulating on social networks regarding a meeting held with the participation of teachers from School No. 9 at the Karmana district administration building.

According to a report by Kun.uz, district governor Shohrukh Boltayev, who visited School No. 9 in the district, asked students to recite poems and answer various questions. When the students could not answer, the angered governor loaded all the school's teachers onto a bus and brought them to the district administration. During the meeting, the teachers were made to stand for nearly an hour.

The governor stated that the compulsory meeting was held due to the low rate of graduates entering higher education institutions. He also emphasized that he is making efforts to improve the quality of education.

According to ministry data, in 2025, 61% of graduates from School No. 9 in Karmana district were admitted to higher education institutions (ranking 6th in the district), with an average score indicator of 98.7. At the same time, 38 out of 39 graduates hold national and international certificates.

The report notes that in accordance with the law "On the Status of the Teacher," the rights, honor, and professional reputation of teachers are protected by the state, and interference in their professional activities or involving them in work unrelated to their professional duties is strictly prohibited.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education stated that it strongly condemns any interference by officials in the activities of teachers and is committed to protecting the legal rights and interests of teachers, as well as preserving their professional status and reputation.
