An "O‘zyo‘lko‘prik" employee was caught taking a bribe in Karakalpakstan.
The employee demanded $10,000 from the entrepreneur to hand over a portion of the "Beruniy-To‘rtko‘l" highway construction project.
It has been established that illegal actions were committed by a state official in the field of road construction in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The State Security Service informed Zamon.uz about this.
It is reported that an employee of the Karakalpakstan branch of the state institution "O'zyo'lko'prik" cluster, using his official position, demanded 10 thousand US dollars from the head of a construction LLC in exchange for awarding a 5-kilometer work volume for the "Beruniy-To'rtko'l" A380 highway construction project.
During an operational event conducted by employees of the State Security Service's Karakalpakstan Department, this official was caught red-handed while receiving the demanded money, and his illegal actions were stopped.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 3, paragraph "v" and Articles 28, 211, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are being carried out.
