The installation of "Smart Bus Stops" has begun in Tashkent city with the aim of modernizing and making the public transport system more convenient. The Tashkent City Road Traffic Management Center reported on this.
It is reported that safety and convenience will be prioritized at the innovative stops. A special waiting area will be organized for citizens with limited mobility.
Furthermore, each stop will be equipped with 2 video cameras connected to a centralized surveillance system. An "SOS" button will be installed for emergencies.
In addition, electronic monitors displaying bus schedules and vending machines for quick purchases will also be installed at the stops.
