The number of hydroelectric power stations in Uzbekistan has exceeded 100.
The production capacity at hydroelectric power stations has been increased to 800 megawatts, bringing the total capacity to 2,400 megawatts.

On March 16, a press conference on the key results for 2025 and new prospective projects of "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC was held at the Center for Content Preparation for Mass Media under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by the management of the Company's Board, heads of departments, directorates, and divisions of the executive apparatus, responsible specialists, as well as representatives of television, radio, print and electronic media, and foreign mass media.
It was reported that at the time of the Company's establishment, 36 hydroelectric power stations with a total capacity of 1,604 megawatts were operating in the republic. As a result of investment projects implemented in recent years, the production capacity has been increased by 800 megawatts, bringing the total capacity to 2,400 megawatts.
Currently, the number of hydroelectric power stations in the territory of Uzbekistan has exceeded 100.
