Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
This aid delivered on the occasion of Ramadan holiday was handed over to the country's representatives in Hayraton.

Humanitarian aid was delivered to the people of Afghanistan on behalf of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that this initiative was implemented to support the Afghan people on the occasion of Ramadan and to further strengthen the close neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.

The total weight of the humanitarian aid exceeds 290 tons and consists of flour, rice, wheat, vegetable oil, instant food products, pasta, confectionery, and other types of products.
This aid was handed over to Afghan representatives in Hayraton.

According to the Ministry's report, during the ceremony, Deputy Governor of Balkh Province Mawlawi Abu Idris, the leadership of the Balkh Province branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the Hayraton city administration expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the constant attention, care, practical support, and solidarity shown to the Afghan people.
The event was also attended by Uzbekistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan Oybek Usmanov and the Governor of Surkhandarya Region Ulugbek Kosimov.
We recall that Uzbekistan had previously sent humanitarian aid to Iran, which is currently at the center of conflicts.
