392 prisoners were pardoned by presidential decree.
Among those pardoned are 3 foreign citizens, 26 women, 166 young people, and 24 individuals who participated in the activities of banned organizations.

A decree on pardoning a group of prisoners ahead of Ramadan Hayit and Navruz holidays was signed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by UzA.
The decree was adopted within the framework of the humanitarian policy being implemented by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to which 392 individuals were pardoned.
It is reported that 223 of the pardoned individuals have been fully released from punishment, and 82 have been conditionally released early.
Furthermore, the sentences of 34 individuals have been commuted to a lighter type, and the prison terms of 53 convicts have been reduced.
Among the pardoned are 3 foreign citizens, 26 women, 14 individuals over 60 years old, 166 young people, and 24 individuals who participated in the activities of banned organizations.
Relevant instructions have been given to the responsible authorities regarding the social adaptation of the pardoned individuals, providing them with employment, and reintegrating them into a healthy lifestyle.
