In a neighborhood citizens' meeting in Karshi city, the assistant mayor and the leading specialist of the city administration were caught taking a bribe. The SSS reported on this.

 

An investigation conducted by employees of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes revealed that the assistant mayor took $1,000 USD to formalize a 35-sotix land plot from the state reserve, which had been given to a citizen born in 1983 based on a lease agreement in 2019, as private property through his acquaintances.

 

During the operation, it was determined that the assistant mayor was supposed to give this money to the leading specialist of the city administration, and he was also caught red-handed while receiving it.

 

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the offenders, and investigative actions are being carried out.
