Russian deputies who visited the US were gifted socks with Trump's image.
The visit is being carried out at the suggestion of U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna.
A Russian parliamentary delegation and members of the US Congress exchanged symbolic gifts. This was reported by the TASS agency.
It is reported that among the gifts were socks with an image of US President Donald Trump and a commemorative postcard dedicated to the Soviet-American space program "Soyuz-Apollo".
According to Mikhail Delyagin, a member of the Russian State Duma delegation and deputy chairman of the committee on economic policy, initially the US side requested that gift-giving be declined. However, when the delegation arrived, this decision changed, and US congressmen gifted socks with Trump's image and a personal token from Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna.
"We presented modest gifts from the embassy (in accordance with etiquette), and Deputy Speaker Boris Chernyshev presented a postcard signed by participants of the Soyuz-Apollo flight, which delighted the Americans," the agency's source emphasized.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of US Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna. The deputies are holding talks with American lawmakers.
