Liability has been established for the illegal removal of waste from waste collection sites in Uzbekistan.
Legal entities are fined for entering incorrect environmental monitoring data, and in some cases, they are held administratively liable.

On March 25, a law was adopted introducing amendments and additions to certain legislative acts.
According to the introduced additions, legal entities engaged in certain types of activities have been assigned additional obligations to conduct monitoring of pollution sources.
In accordance with the law, legal entities engaged in types of activities belonging to categories I and II of environmental impact, for failure to enter data, incomplete entry, or entry of incorrect data into the unified geoinformation database of the state environmental monitoring system, will be fined from 100 to 300 times the BHM.
Furthermore, it has been established that the illegal allocation or use of forest fund lands, if committed after the application of administrative penalties for such actions, will be punishable by a fine of 300 to 400 times the BHM, or restriction of liberty for 2 to 3 years, or deprivation of liberty for up to 3 years.
In addition, administrative liability is established for environmental violations detected through special automated photo and video recording software and hardware, as well as for the illegal collection and removal of waste from waste collection sites and their unguarded facilities.
