The Children's Ombudsman responded to the case of a student being raped at a school in Namangan.
It is reported that a 53-year-old teacher sexually assaulted a girl studying in the 6th grade.

The case of sexual violence against a school student in Namangan region has been taken under control by the Children's Ombudsman.
It was reported that on March 28, a citizen H.D, residing in Yangikurgan district, appealed to the district IIB, stating that his minor child O.O (a girl born in 2013), a 6th-grade student at a general education school in the district, had been subjected to sexual violence by a teacher of that school, T.Sh (a male born in 1973).
As we previously reported, regarding this case, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Investigation Department of the Yangikurgan District IIB.
The suspect T.Sh has been detained in accordance with procedural order, and the preventive measure of detention has been applied against him.
Currently, preliminary investigative actions are being carried out.
