Artificial rain will be induced in Tashkent.
By October 1, 2027, the necessary equipment will be installed to produce artificial rain in areas with low humidity.

To improve the air quality in Tashkent city, artificial rain will be induced in the capital and Tashkent region. This was stipulated in the President's decree on improving air quality.
It is noted that measures will be taken to gradually introduce artificial rain induction and artificial wind technology in Uzbekistan. For this purpose, successful foreign experience will be studied.
According to the decree, such an assignment was given to the Ecology Committee, the Academy of Sciences, and the Ministry of Higher Education.
Accordingly, by October 1, 2027, the necessary equipment will be installed to induce artificial rain in areas with low humidity in Tashkent city and Tashkent region, with the aim of improving the atmospheric air of the capital.
Funds for these measures will be allocated from the State Targeted Fund for Addressing Nationwide Environmental Problems.
The introduction of artificial rain technology was previously included in the 2026 state program as well.
The program envisages, starting from March 1, 2026, developing a practical pilot project, conducting at least 3–5 practical tests within the framework of pilot experiments, thereby ensuring a 10–20 percent increase in precipitation change relative to the natural background.
