29 people were killed as a result of a Russian military plane crash.

A Russian An-26 military transport aircraft crashed in the annexed Crimea region. DW reported this citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is noted that communication with the aircraft, which was performing a scheduled flight, was lost around 18:00 on March 31. It was later determined that it had crashed into a cliff.
As a result of the crash, all 6 crew members and 23 passengers on board — a total of 29 people — were killed.
According to the ministry, no external impact on the aircraft has been identified. Preliminary assumptions suggest the tragedy occurred due to a technical malfunction.
For reference, the An-26 is a light military transport aircraft designed for transporting troops and equipment over medium distances. Crashes involving this type of aircraft have been observed in Russia before. In particular, in an aviation accident in Kamchatka in July 2021, all 28 people on board were killed.
