In Uzbekistan, 885 cases related to illegal use of energy resources and violations were identified in the first quarter of 2026. This was reported by the press service of "Uzenergoinspeksiya".

 

It was reported that during inspections, it was recorded that illegal use of 34.6 million cubic meters of natural gas (101.6 billion soums) and 49.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity (94.4 billion soums) resulted in a total damage of 196 billion soums to state interests.

 

Furthermore, 1,599 administrative reports were formalized regarding violations related to consumers breaching the rules for using energy resources.

 

During quality control measures carried out for petroleum products, in 180 cases from samples taken from gas stations and enterprises, the poor quality of 4,058 tons of petroleum products was identified, and their release for sale was prevented.

 

Additionally, preventive measures were conducted with 8,344 consumers on the efficient and rational use of fuel and energy resources. Following instructions given to consumers with a capacity of 50 kW and above, the installation of reactive power compensation devices was ensured for 2,293 consumers.

 

As a result, savings of 19.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were achieved. Administrative reports were drawn up against 11 consumers who failed to comply with the given instructions.
