Market manager in Kashkadarya caught taking bribe

The head of a market in Dehqonobod district of Kashkadarya region was detained for demanding a bribe by abusing his official position. The SSS reported on this.

 

It was reported that during an urgent operation conducted by officers of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, this official promised a citizen, who intended to start entrepreneurial activity, to sell a trade stall located in the market area without proper documentation and subsequently transfer the stall to his name. In return, he demanded 80 million soums.

 

During the urgent operation, he was caught red-handed while receiving $6,600 from the entrepreneur.

 

A criminal case has now been initiated regarding this incident, and investigative actions are being carried out.
