In Andijan, a woman gave her husband an incorrect injection, causing his death.

A man died in Andijan as a result of a wrong “injection”. Zamon.uz got acquainted with the court document.

According to the court ruling, the woman, born in 2000, graduated from the district medical college with honors in 2018. She got married in 2023, and when her relatives got sick, she gave them injections herself. On June 21, 2025, her husband asked for an injection, saying that he had a cold and was not getting better.

"He brought an injection called "Ceftriaxone sulbactam" for treatment. When I asked him if he had taken this medicine before, he said that he had. So I injected 1 mg of the antibiotic "Sulbactam" into my husband's penis. After a while, he went outside and called me, saying that he was not feeling well. At that time, I went to him, called the short number "103" and asked him to connect him to the doctor on duty, but they did not answer," the woman said in court.

After that, the woman saw her husband's tongue sticking out, her father-in-law held it with a spoon and took him to the emergency room in his car. The woman stayed at home because she had a young child. A little later, when she called her father-in-law and asked about her husband's condition, he said that he had died in the intensive care unit.

The deceased's father also testified in court, saying that he brought antibiotics because his son had a cold and did not recover within 2-3 days.

"On June 21 at 23:10, my daughter-in-law sent him to the hospital to see the effect of the medicine. At 23:20, I heard my son calling out that he was getting hot. When I went to him, I saw that he was lying unconscious. My son and I took him to the medical center. When the doctors took my son to the intensive care unit, they said that his blood pressure had dropped to "0". He died at 00:30. In this case, my daughter-in-law did not do this intentionally, my son died as a result of the side effects of the antibiotic. I have no claim against my daughter-in-law, I ask for leniency for her," the deceased's father said.

The conclusion of the forensic medical examination dated July 20, 2025, as a result of anaphylactic shock caused by the injection of “Ceftriaxone sulbactam” into the left buttock, revealed acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure, multiple punctate hemorrhages under the epicardial layer of the heart and the pleura of the lungs. The conclusion dated January 30, 2026, indicated that the cause of death was a side effect of the injected drug.

By its verdict dated March 2, 2026, the Jalakuduk District Court found the defendant guilty of committing crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article 102 of the Criminal Code and acquitted her of punishment in accordance with Article 70.

Due to a single carelessness, the child of a Jalakuduk woman will grow up without a father. Yes, this breaks everyone's heart. But we should not draw conclusions from this and try to treat ourselves. At the same time, considering that deaths due to improper treatment are observed in hospitals, this is not only our problem, but the problem of the system.
