In Uzbekistan, it is now possible to transfer a mobile number to another person's name online.
The service is provided through the Single Portal.
Now mobile communication users can officially transfer their mobile numbers to another person's name online via my.gov.uz. This opportunity is provided through the my.gov.uz portal and the MyGov app here.
According to the new procedure, to change the owner of a mobile number, it is no longer necessary to personally visit the service centers of the communication operator, wait in line, and sign documents as previously required.
To use the service:
- Log in to the My.gov.uz portal or the MyGov app;
- Select the "Re-register mobile number" service;
- Fill in the required information and submit the application.
During the process of applying to re-register a mobile number, both the person wishing to transfer the number and the recipient are required to confirm the application via MyID.
It is noted that this service is being implemented step by step across all mobile communication operators.
Mobile communication operators form the payment based on their pricing policy and service tariffs; some mobile operators provide the service free of charge for close relatives.
