President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for a working visit to Kazakhstan on April 21, following an invitation from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

The President of Uzbekistan will participate tomorrow in the Regional Environmental Summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of Founder States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan.

 

During the upcoming events, issues of strengthening regional cooperation on the path to the sustainable development of Central Asia and solving the region's pressing ecological, climate, and water problems will be discussed.

 

Shavkat Mirziyoyev will share his views on these issues and visit a special ecological exhibition consisting of national pavilions.

 

A number of important documents are expected to be adopted upon the conclusion of the summits.
