The responsible heads of 44 districts where electricity loss exceeds 20 percent will be removed from their positions.

At a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the situation at 44 district electric grid enterprises, where electricity losses exceed 20 percent, was criticized. It was noted that the heads of these enterprises who have not drawn conclusions should be dismissed immediately, replaced with young personnel, and assigned KPIs to reduce losses by half.

It was reported that currently, over 10,000 third- and fourth-year students are studying in the energy field at technical universities. It was emphasized that it is important to train them in safety techniques and deploy them to districts based on dual education.

"Please, let mentors take their apprentices to the district, teach them the work, and if they propose good solutions to reduce losses, let us give the saved funds as a bonus to the mentor and the student," said the President.

Overall, it was noted that network leaders and governors must save 5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity and 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas this year.
