The US President assessed the conversation as "very good" and said he proposed a short-term ceasefire to the Russian leader. According to the Kremlin's version, Putin announced that he was ready to declare a temporary truce with Ukraine on the occasion of May 9 — Victory Day, and Trump supported this initiative.
According to the publication, after the conversation, Trump stated at a press conference that Ukraine had "suffered a military defeat." He said the country's military infrastructure had been seriously damaged. However, later opinions were expressed that these figures actually pertained to Iran.
According to the Kremlin, Putin also provided information during the conversation about the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine.
