In Karakalpakstan, the head of the cadastre department was caught taking a bribe.
He wanted to formalize the cadastral documents of a building that was constructed arbitrarily and designated for demolition.

The head of the Cadastre Department operating in one of the districts of Karakalpakstan was caught with a bribe. The State Security Service reported this.
According to the information, this official promised to recognize the property rights and formalize the cadastral documents for a building constructed on a 132 m² plot of land arbitrarily occupied by a citizen born in 1987, but which was ordered to be forcibly demolished based on a 2024 court decision in civil proceedings.
While using his official position to receive a bribe of 2,000 US dollars from the citizen, he was caught red-handed by officers of the State Security Service.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the head of the cadastre, and investigative actions are being carried out.
