A traffic accident involving trucks occurred on the Samarkand–Bukhara road.
The incident was caused by the driver falling asleep. The vehicle he was driving collided with two trucks in succession.

A traffic accident involving "FAV" and "Sinoturk Howo" brand trucks occurred in the Paxtachi district of the Samarkand region. The regional traffic safety department reported this.
According to the information, the incident happened on May 16 at around 04:30 at the 118th kilometer of the M-37 "Samarkand–Bukhara–Turkmenbashi" highway, passing through the territory of the "Boltali" mahalla.
According to the data, the driver of the "FAV" vehicle, traveling on the Samarkand–Navoi route, fell asleep and lost control of the steering wheel. As a result, the vehicle collided with the left side of a "Sinoturk Howo" truck that was parked on the roadside.
After that, unable to stop, the vehicle crashed into the rear of another "Sinoturk Howo" truck that was parked ahead.
As a result of the accident, a fire broke out in the "FAV" and one of the trucks. The fire was extinguished in a short time by employees of the Emergency Situations Department.
No injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted regarding this case by the traffic safety department of the Paxtachi district internal affairs department.
Officials urged drivers not to operate vehicles when signs of fatigue are felt and to strictly adhere to traffic rules.
