1.6 trillion soums will be allocated for cemetery improvement over 3 years.

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a new resolution on the systematic organization of cemetery improvement works. This was reported by UzA in a news item.

According to the resolution, a total of 1.6 trillion soums will be allocated within the framework of a program for 2027–2029 to repair and improve over 10,000 cemeteries in Uzbekistan.

The resolution stipulates that the repair and construction of protective walls, entrance gates, buildings and structures, as well as internal roads and pathways of cemeteries, will be financed in accordance with the established procedure. Funds will be generated from local budgets, sponsorship and charitable contributions, and other sources not prohibited by law.

Additionally, a separate personal account will be opened for each cemetery, and a QR code system will be introduced to accept charitable donations. The received funds will be directed exclusively to the maintenance and improvement of cemeteries.
