In the mudslide that occurred in Navoiy region, 4 vehicles were damaged, and people were evacuated to a safe area. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this.

 

It was reported that on May 21, from 13:45 to 15:40, as a result of heavy rainfall observed in the mountainous and foothill areas of Khatirchi, Karmana, and Nurota districts of Navoiy region, mudflows occurred.

 

In particular, in Khatirchi district, a section of the road was blocked by boulders, resulting in damage to 4 vehicles of the "Nexia-1", "Cobalt", "Nexia-3", and "Uaz-469" models, as well as several houses, from the mudflows. To ensure the safety of the population, citizens living near the Angidon, Langar, Kattasoy, and Maydon streams were temporarily relocated to a safe area.

 

In Karmana district, mudflows entered the garden plots and auxiliary structures of 7 residential households.

 

Mudflows were also recorded in some areas of Nurota district. The mudflows passed harmlessly through the mudflow channels.

 

To eliminate the consequences of the situation, a total of 37 special vehicles and 173 personnel were involved.

 

According to the findings of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no serious damage was caused to residential buildings, social infrastructure facilities, or communication networks. No information has been received about citizens sustaining bodily injuries.

 

It is noted that currently, prompt measures are being taken by the Navoiy Regional Department of Emergency Situations and the Department of Fire Safety, and work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the situation. At present, the situation is fully under control, and monitoring work continues in the areas.
