President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a meeting with the Uzbekistan national football team, supported the players ahead of the World Cup and called on them to play without pressure and with courage.

 

The head of state emphasized that there would be no easy matches at the World Cup, noting that the Uzbekistan national team will face strong teams such as Portugal, Colombia, and Congo.

 

The President stated that it is natural for the people to expect victory in every match, but the players have already achieved a historic result.

 

"You have already made history," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

 

The head of state asked the players to play in the upcoming important matches without excessive pressure, without fear of anyone, and by utilizing all their capabilities.

 

"Fight for every ball, every situation, every inch of the field until the end!" said the President.

 

According to the President, fan clubs, thousands of supporters, and compatriots in the USA will support the national team from the stadiums during the World Cup matches.

 

The head of state also noted that nearly 40 million people will follow every move of the team with great excitement, and told the players that the people and the head of state trust them.

 

"Go, play courageously, and worthily defend the honor of the Motherland," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the end of his speech.
