The procedure for conducting a strike in Uzbekistan has been established.
If it is now impossible to resolve a collective labor dispute through conciliation, the labor collective may decide to go on strike.

The procedure for organizing a strike in cases of collective labor disputes in Uzbekistan has been established by law. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Huquqiy axborot" in a post.
According to the law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts" (No. LRU-1150, June 11, 2026), signed by the President, if a collective labor dispute cannot be resolved through conciliation procedures, the labor collective may decide to go on strike.
According to the law, participation in a strike is voluntary. No one may be forced to participate in a strike or to refuse to participate.
A decision to declare a strike is adopted if it is approved by more than 50 percent of the employees present at the general meeting of the organization's employees. Such a decision must be made at least one month before the start of the strike.
Additionally, the trade union committee must notify the employer in writing about the declared strike no later than one working day from the moment the decision is made.
In turn, the employer, within one working day after receiving the written notice of the upcoming strike, must notify in writing the state authorities authorized to regulate collective labor disputes.
This law enters into force three months after the date of its official publication.
