In Fergana, a verdict was read to the motorcyclist who caused the death of a student.
The driver, without stopping at the red light, hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road.

A court verdict has been announced in Fergana city against a motorcyclist who hit a pedestrian by ignoring a prohibitory traffic light signal. The Road Safety Service reported this.
According to the information, the traffic accident occurred around 19:30 on Fergana Street, passing through the "Jo'ydam" neighborhood of Fergana city.
The 29-year-old driver, while operating a motorcycle without a valid driver's license, state license plate, or technical passport, failed to obey the red traffic light and struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
As a result of the incident, the pedestrian died from the injuries sustained. The deceased was a student born in Rishtan district, studying at one of the higher education institutions in Fergana city.
This case was reviewed in the Fergana City Court for Criminal Cases. During the court proceedings, the defendant admitted to driving the motorcycle without documents for four months. He also stated that he could not recall the details of the accident because he himself was injured during the traffic incident.
According to the court verdict, the defendant was deprived of the right to operate all types of vehicles for 3 years and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. Additionally, it was ordered that 44 million soums in material damages and 100 million soums in moral damages be recovered from him in favor of the victim's legal representative.
