A meeting was held with international and regional experts from PMI company.
The meeting discussed issues of reducing the size of the shadow economy and expanding cooperation in combating illegal tobacco trade.

A meeting was held between representatives of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office and the Inspectorate for Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market with experts from the international company "Philip Morris International" (PMI).

During the meeting, views were exchanged on issues of mutual experience sharing and strengthening bilateral cooperation in reducing the size of the shadow economy, as well as limiting and preventing the illegal trade of tobacco and nicotine products.

At the event, information was presented by the company's international and regional experts regarding the measures being implemented in the field of combating the illegal trade of tobacco products.
Additionally, presentations were made by representatives of the Department and the Inspectorate on the following areas:
- detection of contraband and organized schemes;
- risk analysis and supply chain monitoring;
- tools for identifying suspicious products and forensic examination;
- international investigation and regional law enforcement practices;
- experience exchange between businesses and law enforcement agencies.

The meeting was held in a friendly dialogue format, and it was agreed to carry out international cooperation on the noted issues in accordance with the established procedure.
