According to a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the delegation will be led by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Nuriddin Ismoilov.
Iranian officials have announced that the farewell ceremonies for Ali Khamenei will be held from July 4 to July 9. The events are expected to be attended by delegations from over 30 countries and religious leaders from more than 90 nations.
The farewell ceremonies will begin on July 4 at the Mosalla complex in Tehran. On July 5, a funeral prayer will be recited, and a public mourning procession will be organized in the capital. Subsequent events will continue in the cities of Qom and Mashhad, as well as in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala. The final stage of the burial ceremony is planned to take place on July 9 in Mashhad.
Iranian officials expect millions of people to participate in the mourning events. In this regard, special headquarters have been established in Iran and Iraq to coordinate the ceremonies.
