In Damascus, 10 people were killed as a result of an explosion near the Palace of Justice.
Some citizens are saying that supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad are involved in the explosion.

The number of casualties from an explosion at a cafe in the Syrian capital Damascus has reached 10. AP reported this.
The explosion occurred at a cafe located near the main courthouse complex in the capital, primarily frequented by lawyers. According to the Syrian Ministry of Health, 21 other people were injured as a result of the incident.
Officials stated that the investigation is ongoing. It has not been officially determined who carried out the attack. Nevertheless, some citizens attending the funeral blamed supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad, who was ousted from power in December 2024. During the ceremony, slogans demanding punishment for supporters of the former regime were also chanted.
On the same day, a checkpoint in the Jaramana district on the outskirts of Damascus was also attacked. According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, three security personnel were wounded in the attack carried out with hand grenades, the attacker was killed, and another suspect was detained.
