A specialist from the Syrdarya TPP won 2nd place in an international competition in China.

A professional skills competition was held in China among energy sector experts from Asian countries and member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

A specialist from the Syrdarya TPP won 2nd place in an international competition in China.

From June 30 to July 4, 2026, an international professional skills competition was held in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, among energy sector specialists from Asian countries and member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

 

 

In this prestigious competition, G'ofur Xolnazarov, Deputy Head of the Electrical Shop at the Syrdarya TPP branch of JSC "Thermal Power Plants," successfully participated and won an honorable 2nd place among 24 participants.

 

G'ofur Xolnazarov demonstrated his knowledge and practical skills in the field of "Testing work on 110 kV high-voltage cable lines and installation of cable joints."

 

 

During the competition, the participants' practical skills in identifying faults in cable lines, determining cable parameters, and installing high-voltage cable joints were assessed, as well as their level of compliance with labor protection and safety requirements.

 

 

The competition was organized with the aim of exchanging advanced experience among specialists from Asian countries, mastering modern technologies, and further developing international cooperation in the energy sector.

 

 

According to the final results, the 1st place went to a representative of the People's Republic of China, while the 2nd place was secured by a representative of Uzbekistan – G'ofur Xolnazarov, a specialist from the Syrdarya TPP.

 

"My achievement at the international competition once again confirmed the high professional potential of our country's energy sector specialists. This experience will be important for increasing the reliability of electrical networks and implementing advanced practices in production," says G'ofur Xolnazarov.
