Kindergartens in Karakalpakstan will be temporarily closed due to the heat.

The restrictions will begin on July 13 and will be in effect until July 15–18, depending on the region.

Kindergartens in Karakalpakstan will be temporarily closed due to the heat.

In connection with the sharp rise in air temperature in certain areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the activities of state and non-state preschool educational organizations will be temporarily suspended. This was reported by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

 

According to the statement, based on the decisions of city and district governors:

 

  • Kindergartens in Nukus city will temporarily suspend activities from July 13 to 18;
  • In Amudarya district from July 13 to 15;
  • In Beruniy district from July 13 to 17;
  • In Khojayli district from July 13 to 18;
  • In Taxiatosh, Shumanay, Muynak, Qonlikol, and Tortkol districts from July 13 to 17.

 

According to the ministry, this decision was made to protect children's health from the negative effects of the scorching heat and to ensure their safety. The temporary suspension of activities is carried out in accordance with the relevant conclusions and recommendations of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health departments.

 

Additionally, parents were recommended to pay special attention to their children's health, avoid allowing them to stay outdoors for long periods during the hottest times of the day, and observe necessary precautionary measures.
