President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Do‘stlik" neighborhood in Bekabad.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to Bekobod city, familiarized himself with the construction works carried out along the "Khos Yaz" canal and in the "Do'stlik" neighborhood. The President's press service reported this.

It is noted that the bank of the "Khos Yaz" canal, once neglected, abandoned, and disorderly, has now become the most beautiful corner of the city. Now, a modern ecological space with all amenities has appeared near the neighborhoods.

As part of the master plan for the comprehensive development of the area, a special pedestrian path 3 kilometers long and 5.4 kilometers of strong barriers were built, and 2 bridges were erected. Also, as a result of the project, 27 new trade and modern service facilities were established along the coast, creating 167 new permanent jobs.

The head of state spoke with young people who were playing sports here.

The area of the "Do'stlik" neighborhood currently covers 28 hectares. There are 33 multi-story buildings, a private preschool educational organization, a football field, 16 sports and children's playgrounds, and a library.

This year, entrepreneurs invested 1.1 billion soums, establishing 10 service facilities and 1 public catering outlet. As a result, 25 new jobs were created. Also, using the funds of the initiators, "Vatanparvar Bog'i" (Patriot's Park) was built. Samples of military equipment were installed there, and service facilities were constructed.

Using funds from the "Initiative Budget", the Bekobod City Museum was established on the territory of the neighborhood. A wooden summer pavilion was erected in the neighborhood for the rest of the elderly and labor veterans, as well as for holding meetings, roundtable discussions, and spiritual-educational events.

The head of state reviewed the construction works in the neighborhood and familiarized himself with the conditions created for the population. He had a sincere conversation with neighborhood activists and labor veterans.

"All our work, the facilities and projects we are building, must first and foremost serve the population and improve people's lives. People must feel the changes taking place in their neighborhood and city, and see their benefits in their daily lives.

Every time we visit the regions, people must feel the breath of the New Uzbekistan reforms, the breeze of its renewal and development. Bekobod city, with its hardworking and dedicated population, talented youth, and experienced elders, should also become an even more prosperous and developed place.

We will mobilize all opportunities to realize the dreams and aspirations of our youth, and the good intentions and goals of our elders," the President said.

With this, the President's visit to Bekobod concluded, and the head of state returned to Tashkent.
