A service inspection has been requested regarding the actions of the governor of Shahrisabz district at a citizen's residence.

A video has circulated showing a governor criticizing a citizen's living conditions and giving instructions to impose a fine. In response to the situation, the Anti-Corruption Agency submitted a proposal to the regional administration to conduct an official inspection.

A video footage showing the hokim (governor) of Shahrisabz district in Kashkadarya region, Samad Hasanov, entering a local resident's home and conversing with the citizen has sparked widespread discussion on social media.

 

In the video, the hokim is seen reprimanding the homeowner for not keeping their residence clean, criticizing the sanitary condition of the house, and stating that he would post the images in the neighborhood's Telegram group. He also remarked that "no one would take a bride from this household," criticized the citizen for resting during the daytime, and appears to have instructed officials to impose fines on the homeowners.

 

In the video, a woman introduced as the head of the neighborhood (mahalla) also criticized the citizen for not keeping the house and yard clean.

 

In response to the incident, the Anti-Corruption Agency reminded that leaders at any level must strictly adhere to the code of conduct for state civil servants when interacting with citizens.

 

The Agency emphasized that violating the inviolability of citizens' private life, demeaning their honor and dignity, as well as exerting unjustified administrative pressure, are contrary to current legislation and ethical norms.

 

It was reported that, within its authority, the Agency has submitted a proposal to the administration of Kashkadarya region to conduct an official investigation into this matter in accordance with the procedures established by law and to provide a legal assessment.
