The Shaykhantakhur District Court for Criminal Cases has pronounced a verdict in the criminal case against blogger Aziz Hakimov. The Tashkent City Courts reported this.

 

At a closed court session, Hakimov was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 139 (defamation), Part 2 of Article 140 (insult), and Part 2 of Article 156 (incitement of national, racial, ethnic, or religious enmity) of the Criminal Code.

 

He was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months of imprisonment through partial consolidation of the penalties. It was established that the term of the sentence would be calculated from September 26, 2025.

 

At the same time, the court concluded that Hakimov's actions did not constitute the crime of advocating war under Article 150 of the Criminal Code. On this basis, he was acquitted of this charge.

 

According to the court verdict, the Ministry of Digital Technologies was also tasked with blocking the Telegram channel "Comrade_Aziz" operated by Hakimov.

 

In the case, six victims were informed of their right to file a claim with the civil court regarding the recovery of material and moral damages inflicted upon them.

 

Additionally, the defendant was informed of the procedure and deadline for filing an appeal against the verdict with a higher court instance.
