92.1 billion soums in compensation was paid to needy families for electricity and gas over 6 months.

In January-June 2026, a total of 92.1 billion soums in compensation for electricity and natural gas was paid to 562,918 needy families in Uzbekistan. The National Agency for Social Protection reported this.
Compensation is allocated in accordance with the established procedure for electricity and natural gas used in excess of the basic norm, based on Presidential Resolution No. PQ-134 dated April 2, 2025. In this case, the difference between the tariff within the basic norm and the price set for the portion exceeding it is reimbursed.
During the reporting period, 51 billion 427.8 million soums in compensation was paid for electricity, and 40 billion 702.3 million soums for natural gas.
