Losses amounting to 251.5 billion soums were identified at "Hududgaz Qoraqalpog'iston".
A criminal case has been initiated against officials regarding the situation.
It was established that damage amounting to 251.5 billion soums was caused to state and public interests in connection with the accounting of natural gas at the "Hududgaz Qoraqalpog'iston" gas supply branch.
During a pre-investigation inquiry conducted by the Department's administration for the Republic of Karakalpakstan under the General Prosecutor's Office, it became known that the reasons for the discrepancy between the volume of natural gas accepted by the branch's responsible employees and that delivered to consumers were not identified.
This difference was recorded in reports as ordinary gas loss. As a result, damage amounting to 251.5 billion soums was caused to state and public interests.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this situation under Article 167 (embezzlement or misappropriation) and Article 205 (abuse of power or official authority) of the Criminal Code.
Investigative actions are currently underway.
