Sherzod Asadov was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration — Presidential Press Secretary in March 2021. In August 2023, he was appointed to the position of Presidential Press Secretary.

 

By the Presidential Decree of July 14, 2025, he was appointed Head of the newly established Communications Department of the Presidential Administration — Press Secretary of the President of Uzbekistan.

 

Born on May 4, 1981, in Bukhara region, Sherzod Asadov graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. He is proficient in Russian, English, Spanish, and Turkish.

 

Asadov began his professional career in 2007 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In subsequent years, he served in various positions at Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions in Singapore and Austria, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and at diplomatic missions accredited to international organizations.

 

From 2020 to March 2021, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
