The winners of the open chess championship of "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC have been determined.
The championship was held under the motto: "As a united homeland, as a united people, we will create a new life and a new future!"

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of state independence, the traditional open championship "Chess Board Open Championship of 'Uzbekhydroenergo' JSC" in chess was held among employees of the central offices of ministries, agencies, and joint-stock companies.

The competition was organized on the initiative of "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC with the aim of popularizing chess among employees, widely involving them in sports competitions, and fostering a healthy competitive environment. The championship was held under the motto: "United Motherland, united people, we will create a new life and future!"

On August 22, the main final stage of the championship took place at the Youth Creativity Palace. Qualified referees from the Uzbekistan Chess Federation officiated the event. The matches were organized using the Swiss system based on FIDE rules, with participants competing for victory over 11 rounds.

In the final stage, more than 120 participants tested their strength against each other around the chessboard.

According to the competition results, Farrukh Rajabov, a representative of "Uzavtosanoat" JSC, took first place. Davron Sulaymonov, an employee of "Asakabank" JSC, secured second place, while Sherbek Khurramov, a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, claimed third place.
At the ceremonial award ceremony, cash prizes were presented to the winners and prize-winners. In particular, first-place winner Farrukh Rajabov was awarded a cash prize of 130 million soums, second-place winner Davron Sulaymonov received 100 million soums, and third-place winner Sherbek Khurramov was awarded 70 million soums.

Additionally, a number of chess players who performed commendably in various categories of the competition were presented with valuable and commemorative gifts from "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC.
