Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev visited the historical monuments of Bukhara.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was told about Bukhara's centuries-old history as an important trade, science, and education center on the Great Silk Road.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by their spouses, familiarized themselves with Bukhara's world-famous historical monuments.

The distinguished guests visited the Samanid Mausoleum, the Ark Fortress, the Poi Kalon and Labi Hovuz complexes, as well as the Kukeldash Madrasah.
The visit began at the Samanid Mausoleum, built by Ismail Samani. The guests were provided with information about the monument's history, architectural features, and its significance in the development of science and culture in the East. This mausoleum was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1993.

Following this, the heads of state visited the ancient Ark Fortress. Having served as the political and administrative center of Bukhara for many centuries, the fortress later functioned as the residence of Bukhara's rulers. Today, the Ark is considered one of Bukhara's most famous historical monuments.

The guests also familiarized themselves with the Poi Kalon complex. This ensemble, one of the most majestic architectural complexes in Central Asia, includes the Kalon Minaret, built in 1127, the Kalon Mosque dating to the early 16th century, and the Mir Arab Madrasah.

Additionally, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev visited the Labi Hovuz complex. This historical site, formed around an ancient pond, houses the Kukeldash Madrasah, the Nodir Devonbegi Madrasah, and its khanqah.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was told about Bukhara's centuries-old history as an important center of trade, science, and education on the Great Silk Road.

Furthermore, the guests were shown examples of folk craftsmanship and artistic decorations on historical monuments. The distinguished guests closely familiarized themselves with Bukhara's unique architectural heritage, historical monuments, and cultural traditions.
