There are no citizens of Uzbekistan among those killed as a result of the floods in Nepal and Tibet. The "Dunyo" news agency reported on this.

 

It was noted that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi (which also currently operates in Nepal) stated that no information has been received so far about the presence of Uzbek citizens among those killed and injured as a result of the disaster. The diplomatic mission is in constant contact with relevant authorities and is regularly monitoring the development of the situation.

 

According to Reuters, at least 165 people have been killed in Nepal as a result of the natural disaster, and 826 people are missing. Among the missing are about 500 foreigners.

 

In the Gyirong area of Tibet, 558 people, including 260 foreigners, are missing. According to Chinese officials, three people have been killed in the area. Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing in Nepal and Tibet.
