Uzbekistan will chair the Non-Aligned Movement in 2027–2029.
Initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of this structure, which unites more than 120 countries around the world, will be put forward.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that a multifaceted, prudent, and balanced foreign policy will be continued to transform Uzbekistan into an important center of international diplomacy.
The head of state noted that economic diplomacy will remain one of the priority directions of foreign policy.
It was also announced that Uzbekistan will chair the Non-Aligned Movement for the first time in 2027–2029. Initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of this structure, which unites more than 120 countries of the world, will be put forward.
The President emphasized that Uzbekistan will also consistently continue its constructive policy regarding Afghanistan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the representatives of the diplomatic corps, foreign media staff, and high-ranking guests from the USA, Turkey, and Singapore who participated in the ceremony for their effective cooperation.
