The working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Bishkek city has concluded.

 

 

It was noted that Shavkat Mirziyoyev's participation in the jubilee meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was the main event of the visit. At the meeting, the 25-year development path of the SCO was summarized, and priority directions for further developing mutual cooperation were reviewed.

 

 

The President put forward a number of initiatives on deepening industrial cooperation, transport connectivity, developing digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and strengthening food, water, and energy security. Following the meeting, the Bishkek Declaration and an important package of documents aimed at expanding cooperation in key areas were adopted.

 

 

Additionally, the leader of Uzbekistan delivered a speech at the meeting in the "SCO Plus" format dedicated to the role of the UN in shaping a fair multipolar world order. Emphasizing the need to preserve the central and coordinating role of the United Nations, he proposed developing "SCO Plus" as a platform for interregional dialogue.

 

Within the framework of the summit, negotiations were held with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. Meetings were also held with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the U.S. President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor.

 

In Bishkek, the head of state, together with his wife, attended the grand opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.

 

After the events concluded, the President of Uzbekistan and his wife were seen off at the "Manas" international airport by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic – Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev and other officials.
