Serbia has announced its readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in the production of ballistic missiles.
Aleksandar Vučić announced that Serbia could begin producing long-range ballistic missiles within a year.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in the defense industry, including in the production of long-range ballistic missiles. He announced this on September 8 at the Uzbekistan-Serbia business forum held in Belgrade.
According to Vučić, Serbia is currently producing short-range missiles. The country could begin manufacturing long-range ballistic missiles within a year.
The Serbian president noted that work is underway on technology transfer in the defense industry and emphasized that there is an opportunity to cooperate with Uzbekistan in this area.
The business forum was attended by more than 200 officials and representatives of business circles from Uzbekistan and Serbia, as well as heads of major industrial and trade enterprises.
This forum was held within the framework of the official visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Serbia. During the visit, an agreement was reached to establish strategic partnership relations between the two countries.
