71.4 billion soums worth of improvement works: President visited "Qichqiriq" mahalla
A new promenade was built along the Qichqiriq canal, the first tower parking lot in the republic was installed in the neighborhood, and the old kindergarten was renovated.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the landscaping work carried out in the Qichqiriq neighborhood of the Olmazor district of Tashkent city and the conditions created for the residents.

The neighborhood, which has a history of more than 30 years, has 23 multi-story buildings, with more than 5,400 residents living in 1,416 apartments.

The landscaping work in the neighborhood was carried out within the framework of the "Obod mahalla" state program on the basis of the Presidential decree of June 25, 2024. 71.4 billion soums were allocated from the local budget for the project.

As a result, a modern green urban environment was created in the area, and a 2.4-kilometer-long promenade was built along the Qichqiriq canal. Here, a 12.4-kilometer pedestrian path, 14 gazebos, fountains, a Ferris wheel, and other recreation areas have been established.

Nearly 6,500 ornamental and fruit trees are being cultivated in the neighborhood. In addition, 12 workout areas, 3 football fields, libraries, and an amphitheater have been established.
Attention has also been paid to developing entrepreneurship in the area. Currently, 47 business entities are operating, and 61 jobs have been created through new projects.

Projects to ensure employment for the population have also been launched in the neighborhood. In particular, Gulnora G'oyipova has established a pottery workshop and a weaving shop. Here, unemployed youth and women are learning crafts based on the "Usta-shogird" tradition.
Also, one of the first modern tower parking lots in the republic was installed in the area. This 8-story structure operates on the principle of an elevator. The central elevator receives the car and places it in the empty spaces on the right and left sides. As a result, it became possible to easily store 16 cars in a small plot of land that could fit only a couple of cars.

Also, large-scale construction and reconstruction work has been carried out at state preschool education organization No. 441 in the neighborhood. Two new buildings with a total of 450 places were built on the territory of the kindergarten, which was built in 1976, bringing the institution's total capacity to 835 places.
The kindergarten is organizing clubs for children in English, mental arithmetic, fine arts, music, artistic gymnastics, chess, and taekwondo. In addition, the interactive platform "O'zbek tilini o'ynab o'rganamiz" ("We learn Uzbek by playing"), designed for children to learn the state language through games and digital technologies, has been introduced.
A club on road traffic safety is also operating at the institution. The President emphasized the importance of teaching children a culture of road traffic safety from preschool age and popularizing such experience in other kindergartens as well.
During the visit, the head of state gave relevant instructions to officials responsible for ensuring employment of the population and reducing poverty.
