Conflict over land sale in Surxondaryo: five people detained for beating a 32-year-old man to death

A court verdict has been issued regarding the killing of a 32-year-old man who was beaten following a disagreement over a land sale in Denov district of Surxondaryo region. 

 

According to case documents, a person born in 1989, residing in Yangihayot mahalla, decided to resolve a property dispute through violence. He also involved four acquaintances aged 22–30.

 

On April 27, at around 17:30, they went in Lacetti and Nexia cars to the front of a car wash station in Bog‘ishamol mahalla, where they beat two of his relatives who were there.

 

After that, one of them was forcibly placed into the Lacetti car and taken to the Bobotog‘ area in Uzun district. There, severe bodily injuries were inflicted on his body. According to witness testimony, the victim was also subjected to the use of an electric shock device.

 

The 32-year-old man who sustained severe bodily injuries was dumped at the entrance of the emergency medical care department of the Denov district medical association. 

 

Resuscitation measures were taken by doctors, but it was not possible to save his life, and biological death was recorded.

 

It was established at court that the two victims were a father and son, who were the uncle and nephew of the group's organizer. The dispute arose due to a disagreement over a land sale matter.

 

In addition, according to case documents, more than 6 grams of various types of narcotic substances were found in the residence of the group's organizer.

 

According to the court verdict, five defendants were sentenced to imprisonment from 4 to 9 years. In accordance with Article 59 of the Criminal Code, the sentences were partially combined, and a final sentence of 9 years of imprisonment was imposed on one of the defendants.
