Amendments to the legislation on this matter have been developed jointly with the responsible agencies and submitted for review.
The National Agency for Social Protection, together with the responsible agencies, has developed legislative proposals aimed at strengthening liability for sexual violence against children. This was announced by the First Deputy Director of the Agency, Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva.
According to her, the National Agency for Social Protection, together with the responsible agencies, has been working for several months on proposals for amendments to the legislation. The prepared proposals have already been submitted for review.
It is also proposed to strengthen the liability of parents for failing to care for their children, and of educators for allowing cases of violence and discrimination, as well as to ensure that affected children are provided with legal assistance and protection at every stage of the investigation and judicial process.
