Solar activity is intensifying: A magnetic storm may be observed on Earth
The British Geological Survey announced on October 2 that a weak G1-class magnetic storm may be observed.

In early October, increased geomagnetic activity is expected on Earth due to a plasma ejection that occurred on the Sun. The British Geological Survey forecast that a weak G1-class magnetic storm may be observed on October 2.
According to data, the plasma cloud formed as a result of a coronal mass ejection that occurred on the Sun on September 28 is expected to reach Earth on October 1–2.
On October 1, increased geomagnetic activity is forecast, but no magnetic storm is expected. On October 2, activity will reach its peak, and a G1-class magnetic storm may occur during certain time intervals.
By October 3, the effects of the solar ejection are expected to gradually weaken. Nevertheless, geomagnetic activity may remain elevated for some time.
Additionally, a C9-class flare was recorded on the Sun on September 30. According to preliminary analyses, the plasma cloud associated with it may pass by Earth's orbit without significant impact.
